Independent teardown/shopping checks of white AirPods-style sales boxes that copy Apple's embossed (凸印) front found the printed earbud graphic low in clarity and laid out side-by-side (parallel), whereas genuine Apple boxes stagger the two earbuds, and the Apple logo, series names and factory labels are stripped from the remaining faces — so this style of white embossed paper box is readily distinguishable from genuine Apple packaging.

In a direct side-by-side comparison, the raised earbud relief on a copy of the white AirPods box felt and looked less pronounced and coarser than the genuine box, whose embossed front is finer and sits higher — the genuine box also carries the Apple logo and product information on the side/back panels while the copy's panels are blank.

Buyer write-ups on counterfeit AirPods paper packaging note that the fake cartons show folded-cardboard bulges at the four corners and irregular edges, and the heat-shrink film has a hard cut seam, whereas genuine Apple boxes are flat and smooth at the corners and slide open with a damped fit; these handling/feel cues are cited as the quickest giveaway of a copy box.

For AirPods boxes of this type, reviewers advise checking the packaging as a secondary signal rather than a proof: compare the serial number printed on the box label with the number inside the charging case, and watch for poorly produced labels — typos, off-centre or combined single-label printing, and low-quality or blurred enclosed manual/cable — since counterfeit boxes frequently fail these print-quality checks.
